Autogas Refueling
The Alkcon MP100 and the MP500 propane production systems allow the homeowner or the fleet manager to cost effectively produce autogas from low-cost natural gas, eliminating the need for scheduled propane deliveries or expensive, large scale propane storage systems. The MP100 can produce up to 100 kg (53 gallons) of propane per week and the The MP500 can produce up to 500 kg (262 gallons) of propane per week.
Biopropane Production
Biopropane (also known as bio-LPG) is a clean-burning, renewable fuel which is a ‘drop-in’ replacement for autogas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in all applications. The Alkcon MP8K is a biogas-to-biopropane conversion system, specifically designed for operation with commercial scale anaerobic digesters. The MP8K can produce up to 8,000 kg (4,200 gallons) of propane per week from a qualified biogas source.
Landfill Gas Recovery
The conversion of landfill gas (LFG) to propane reduces greenhouse gas emissions while creating a valuable liquid fuel from decomposing municipal solid waste, agricultural waste, food waste and other bulk organic materials. The Alkcon MP8K or the MP32K could be utilized in this application depending on the methane gas flow rate requirements. Landfills in the United States alone release over 500 billion cubic feet of methane per year.
Wellhead Flaring Gas Conversion
The Alkcon MP32K gas processor is an industrial natural gas-to-propane conversion system, designed for the production of propane from petroleum well flaring gas. The capture and conversion of natural gas from petroleum well heads reduces greenhouse gas emissions (carbon dioxide and methane) and increases oil well safety, while creating a valuable and easily transportable liquified propane gas (LPG) product.
